This momumental cast aluminum work is a digital enlargement of a smaller sculpture realized in silicone rubber that was applied over a cast of the artist's head and peeled off- like a mask or a skin. Much of Richard Dupont's work involves the examination of the social implications of 21st Century digital technology on the individual, privacy, and identity.
Presented by the New York City Department of Transportation's Urban Art Program and The Museum of Arts and Design in association with the exhibition Out of Hand: Materializing the Postdigital.
